about me
With organization, research, and good storytelling as some of my absolute favorite things, it’s no surprise that I ended up with a career that spans more than 20 years in journalism and communications.
As a journalist at heart, it is my mission to get to the heart of a matter, find the truth, tell that story, and share what I learn. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to daily broadcasts at an award-winning news organization, take on projects that led to the growth of a church’s ministry during the pandemic, and collaborate with writers and businesses as they launch noteworthy ventures.
These days, you can find me writing and serving as a Strategic Advisor for the personal branding and content marketing agency I am building with my husband and team.
My husband and I have three children.

Claresa Smith started her career delivering news to the community surrounding Winston-Salem State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. She went on to work for Clear Channel Radio and WYFF News 4 before serving in church communications and content marketing.
She currently serves as a Strategic Advisor for Podium Studios, a personal branding and content marketing agency she is building with her husband and team in the Atlanta area.
Claresa also enjoys writing and speaking about God’s redemptive story and its impact on our lives whenever she can. She operates with a belief that, by the grace of God, His redemptive work and stories told in His inspired word can inspire us to not only build our faith, but to live well and discover the beauty around us. As a writer with a journalism and communications background, she also approaches each project with curiosity and brings in aspects of the storytelling and simplicity you find in news reporting.

Previously, she had the opportunity to explore the impact of God’s grace in our lives as a regular contributor at GraceTable and write for the Christian women’s website, iBelieve.com.
When she is not writing or sharing stories, you can usually find her spending time with her husband and three children.
